Abstract

In this tutorial, our application engineer Janine Hilden will guide you through the creation of a bimodal anode with the GeoApp Bimodal Anode in GeoDict 2023. This is the second video in our series on how to create a battery from bimodal electrodes and perform a degradation simulation.

This tutorial is part of our series describing how to create a battery from bimodal electrodes and perform a degradation simulation. Today we dive deeper into the GeoDict software and explore the electrode generation function within the battery GeoApps.

We'll walk you through parameter settings, selecting the active material (graphite), controlling particle diameter values, particle shape, orientation tensors and much more. The tutorial concludes with an anode generation showing a porosity of about 10% with a small charge deviation.

Please note: The calculation time may vary depending on the system used. In our case, the generation of the anode took about 4 hours on a laptop.
