To characterize the pore space and the material in a porous structure the GeoDict modules PoroDict and MatDict
offer powerful and very fast options. Both modules have improved a lot in comparison to the last release.
I show how to calculate the pore size distributions, the largest penetrating particles, the water-shed and the
chord length distributions with PoroDict. These measures are used to validate a material model by comparison
with a segmented CT-image.
Afterwards I demonstrate the use of the new module MatDict to analyze the volume and the contacts of the analytic
objects of a GeoDict structure. An interesting new feature is to calculate the 1D and 2D statistics of a porous
material.
