At the end of the computation, the Result Viewer of the Porosimetry.gdr result file appears automatically.

In the Result Viewer, change to the Results - Plots subtab to visualize the pore size distribution in two 2D plots. The first plot displays the volume fraction respective to the pore throat diameters and the second plot shows the cumulative volume fraction.

To visualize the pore size distribution in 3D, select the Pore Size Visualization tab and click Load GeoDict Size Distribution (*.gsd).

The Loading volume file dialog opens. Click OK and the volume field is displayed in the visualization area of the main GeoDict GUI.

Uncheck the Structure tab in the View Controls above of the visualization area in the GeoDict GUI to only visualize the pore size distribution.

Detailed settings for the pore size distribution can be changed under the Volume Field tab right next to the Structure tab. Select this tab and open the pull-down menu Visible on Material IDs to uncheck 01 NMC333 (Solid) and 02 PVDF Binder + Carbon Black (Solid). Thus, the pore size distribution is only shown for the pore space.

Moving the threshold Threshold slider visualizes different pore sizes.

Only Z- was selected as intrusion side. Observe that the biggest pore diameters are found at the bottom face of the structure (if the structure is visualized as described in the Visualization Settings unit), which is Z-. As the porosimetry effectively measures the pore throats, this is not surprising. The pores are cut on this face and thus the pore body effectively becomes the pore throat.

To visualize the structure again, select Structure above of the visualization area.
