Visualization Settings

Now, the settings can be changed to display the structure with the colors and the visualization settings shown in this tutorial.

If not already visualizing the structure in 3D, click now the toolbar-3D icon in the toolbar or select View → 3D Rendering from the menu bar.

  1. Click on the Color & Visibility tab in the GUI Sidebar, to open the Color & Visibility Settings panel.
  2. Uncheck the visible option for ID 01: Solid to switch off the visualization of the reactor.
  3. Change the color of ID 02: Solid to Gray.
  4. In the View Controls panel, above the Visualization area, go to the Volume Field tab.
    1. In the drop-down menu of Visible on Material IDs deselect ID 01 and ID 02. The flow field is now only visible in the pore space.
    2. Then check the box Transparency.
  5. Use the checkbox to activate the Streamlines tab and the visualization of the streamlines.
  6. Change to the Camera tab and check Show Halo. In the panel on the right side, we have chosen the following rotation values:
    1. Rotation HDG: 60
    2. Rotation ATT: 20
    3. Rotation BNK: -80
  7. In the Structure tab, select Smooth in the drop-down menu for the Structure Renderer.
  8. The visualization should now look like the one shown below.
