As a simple example for GeoDict's structure analysis capabilities, we compute a pore size distribution with PoroDict in this section. We will learn how to modify plots in the Result Viewer.
For more detailed information about PoroDict see the corresponding user guide.
To open the PoroDict section, select Analyze→PoroDict in the menu bar.PoroDict is displayed in the module section. From the pull-down menu select Pore Size Distribution (Granulometry).
Do not change any options. Simply click Run to compute the pore size distribution.
When the computation is finished, the Result Viewer opens. Move to the Plots sub-tab of the Result tab. The pore size distribution is visualized in two 2D plots. The first plot displays the Relative Histogram of Pore Diameter vs. Volume Fraction and the second plot shows the corresponding Cumulative Histogram.
The Results tab has at least two sub-tabs, Report and Map. For results that can be displayed as 2D plots, also the Plots tab is available
The Report tab gives a summary of all the important values to be found in a result file.
Under the Plots tab, different 2D plots are found graphically displaying the output data shown under the Report sub-tab.
The Map sub-tab contains all detailed information about the results.
Right-Click into the first plot to open additional options. Select Edit Graph Styles to open the Edit Graph Styles dialog. Change the plot e.g. by selecting Bars as Draw Style. Click Apply to change the plot. By right-clicking in the chart, you can also adjust the chart color, the axis ranges or the tick marks.
