Latest & Greatest for Batteries
Abstract
Batteries are undoubtedly one of the key components driving innovation in 21st century technology, and new developments in the field have led to both increased capacities and significantly reduced production costs. However, this dynamic environment also places pressure on researchers and companies to stay ahead in their research and development projects with rapid results. In this session, we present how digital material design with GeoDict can support fast and cost-effective pathways for battery development.
To begin, the key features and latest developments in GeoDict for battery simulation will be presented by Dr.-Ing. Roman Buchheit from Math2Market. New features in GeoDict 2025 include heat production inside the battery structure, increased flexibility in electrochemical simulation with multiple binder and conductive additive phases, and more realistic boundary conditions for mechanical degradation simulation.
