Innovations in GeoDict 2027
Abstract
The GeoDict 2027 release introduces new capabilities and improvements across material modeling, image analysis, and physics-based simulation. The developments address a broad range of applications, including filtration, fibrous and granular materials, batteries and fuel cells, digital rock physics, and pharmaceutical materials.
Material modeling becomes more flexible with support for arbitrary particle shapes and extended possibilities for generating realistic fibers, including variations in fiber diameter and geometry. New and improved simulation capabilities cover transient heat transport, sorption and reaction processes, mechanical behavior, and particle filtration. In FilterDict, advances in particle tracking and collision modeling provide a more detailed representation of particle–surface interactions.
GeoDict 2027 also expands application-oriented workflows with new GeoApps for solid-state batteries, PEM fuel-cell catalyst layers, material dissolution, plasma surface activation, and time-resolved capillary pressure. Further developments in analysis, visualization, performance, and the user interface support more efficient workflows across the software.
This presentation provides an overview of the major innovations in GeoDict 2027 and demonstrates selected new capabilities, showing how the latest release extends the possibilities for digital material characterization, modeling, and simulation.
