In an interview with SCSK, Mr. Kei Matsunaga and Mr. Yousei Mizumoto from KOBAYASHI Pharmaceutical explained how GeoDict software helped them overcome key challenges in material development.
GeoDict enables simulations to determine the water permeability of waterproof materials such as membranes. The results help identify the limits of membrane technology.
In the following example, a nonwoven is simulated with GeoDict using a µCT scan and a digital twin is created. This digital twin can be used to calculate a wide range of mechanical and physical properties.
Together with our partner Tescan, we took up the challenge of performing a compression test on an open-cell aluminum foam during an in-situ CT and subsequently simulating the process with GeoDict.
