Licensing GeoDict: from Single Seat to Enterprise

A large variety of users apply GeoDict to different applications. GeoDict may be used by a single researcher, a research department in a company, a group of PhD students around a university professor, or be shared by many departments in an international company. These users may want to use GeoDict on a laptop, a large computer server, or in the cloud. Therefore, a one-size-fits-all approach to licensing is not feasible. Rather, the license should be tailored to the individual needs of the user.

During this talk, I will give an overview of the available licensing options for the GeoDict software, and how they fit to the customer needs. I will present how licenses are shared effectively between multiple users and how license administrators manage access rights. I will also explain how the new GeoDict Job Queue server is used to control simulation runs and use licenses efficiently.
