Microscopic Characterization of Nonwoven Fabrics Using GeoDict

Kobayashi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has been developing its business as a manufacturer of pharmaceuticals and daily sundries products to provide comfort and solutions to people's daily lives and health problems under the brand slogan “You make a wish, and we make it happen”. It has been creating new products, new lifestyles, and new niche markets. This article shows a case study of their micro characterization of non-woven fabrics using GeoDict for the material development of hygiene products.
In an interview with SCSK, Mr. Kei Matsunaga and Mr. Yousei Mizumoto from KOBAYASHI Pharmaceutical explained how GeoDict software helped them overcome key challenges in material development. These include significantly reducing the amount of work and costs involved in physical experiments, comprehensively characterizing micro- and macrostructures, and developing a new evaluation technique that enables a deeper understanding of the structure of nonwoven fabrics.
