Abstract

We begin by exploring the key advancements in GeoDict 2026 and the newest features of GeoDict 2027. Key highlights include a new collision model for more accurate particle tracking, an intuitive GUI that simplifies adsorption simulations, and a dedicated generator for complex particle size distributions. We will also demonstrate significant improvements in pleat generation, which now allows you to model complete filter geometries with greater ease and accuracy. To set the stage for future development, we provide a brief overview of our product roadmap, outlining the innovations planned for upcoming versions.

The core of the session focuses on a practical Digital Twin workflow, based on real-world applications presented at FilTech. We walk through the entire process: starting with raw µCT scans, segmenting the structure, and using FiberFind-AI to extract critical material parameters. These parameters are then automatically imported into FiberGeo to generate realistic 3D media structures. This closed-loop approach not only streamlines your workflow but also provides valuable feedback for ongoing tool enhancement. We demonstrate how to simulate flow dynamics and filter efficiency within these models and compare the results against physical measurements to ensure high predictive accuracy.

Finally, we expand on advanced multiscale simulation techniques. Using our Media-to-Element application, we showcase new improvements in rescaling methods. These updates allow you to seamlessly bridge the gap between micro-scale physics—observed at the fiber level—and macro-scale performance predicted at the element or filter level. This enables engineers to optimize designs efficiently without compromising on physical detail.
