GeoDict Innovation Conference in Frankfurt (Main)/Germany & Online (Sep 29 - 30, 2026)

Host: Anton Du Plessis, Ph.D., Director of Business Development EMEA / Math2Market North America Inc.

Abstract

The Image Analysis & Image Processing Breakout Session at the GeoDict Innovation Conference 2026 explores the latest developments in turning 3D imaging data into reliable quantitative information for materials research and industrial applications.

We start with a look at the future of image processing and image analysis before moving to X-ray computed tomography and the steps that connect image acquisition with quantitative analysis. Contributions from CT technology specialists will present different perspectives on high-resolution imaging, data quality, and the use of CT data for detailed material characterization.

The session then moves from imaging to industrial applications, looking at how computed tomography combined with quantitative image analysis can go beyond inspection to support quality control and process optimization.

Another major focus is the growing role of artificial intelligence in image analysis. We will explore how deep-learning tools in GeoDict can accelerate demanding analysis tasks and support the processing of complex 3D datasets. To conclude the session, we will take a closer look at advanced GeoDict workflows and practical best practices for getting more from 3D image data.
