First Steps in GeoDict

This tutorial guide you through the first steps with GeoDict. We will show a basic workflow which includes modeling and analyzing a structure.

In this tutorial you will learn step-by-step:

  • Set a project folder to save and store all results from GeoDict in.
  • Model and create a fiber structure using FiberGeo.
  • Visualize the structure in 2D and 3D.
  • Analyze the structure with PoroDict to obtain the pore size distribution.
  • Predict the permeability of the fiber structure with FlowDict.
  • Process the simulation results to gain insights on the structure of GeoDict result files and visualization settings.

After following this tutorial, you will know important basic functionalities of GeoDict. Using this knowledge, try out your own workflows. Change parameters and design your materials with the desired physical properties.
