Introduction to Honda's Activities in Developing Fuel Cell MEAs Using GeoDict
Abstract
Honda is considering the use of fuel cells as one of its approaches to achieving carbon neutrality in our power products. For high efficiency and reduced cost of the fuel cell, an optimized design of the microstructure of the membrane electrode assembly (MEA) is a key targed. Improving the performance of fuel cells depends on reducing the resistances of the cell materials used. This requires a deeper understanding and improvement of the porous materials employed in the MEA.
In this presentation, we will introduce some of the activities at Honda to achieve this goal by digital material design and analysis.
