Solid Oxide Fuel Cells - first milestones reached: Simulations in the GeoDict Cloud and the SOFC GeoApps
The first project year has flown by! Thanks to a highly successful collaboration, we reshaped and fine-tuned our cloud computing portfolio with help from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and KaleidoSim.

GeoDict simulations, and even entire parameter studies, are now easily relayed from the GeoDict GUI to the GeoDict Cloud simply by clicking a button. Fig 1 shows an example of a parameter study.
In the GeoDict Cloud, unlimited resources are available to the user and even complex studies with hundreds of simulations are handled within a few hours. The results can then be conveniently downloaded with the handy project manager.

The second highlight is the GeoApp "Solid Oxide Electrode Generation", which is available for all our clients in the GeoDict 2023 release. Realistic microstructures of solid oxide electrodes are generated using this GeoApp (see Fig. 1) through the so-called stochastic Pluri-Gauss fields. The process is shown schematically in Fig. 2.
